The second Ireland India Institute Conference on South Asia hosted at the All Hallows Campus in Dublin City University on the 26th and 27th of April, 2018 was a major success. Our keynote speakers Dr. Caroline Osella and Dr. Priyamvada Gopal, spoke on very different topics, yet, we had a full house of listeners who engaged in insightful conversations and discussions. We would like to thank our keynote speakers for their presence and their contribution.
The participants who presented their work did so with great flare and we received wonderful feedback from all the moderators and audience members. The atmosphere and energy at the conference enhanced the networking opportunities and we would like to thank the Chairs and Moderators for their precious time and insight. Most of all, the organizers would like to thank our participants for making the III Conference on South Asia 2018 a success.
Impressed with the quality and range of papers that were discussed, the organizers decided at the Irish Association of South Asian Studies meeting that we would like to enhance the communicative network. We have decided to establish a Critical South Asian Studies network as a way of extending the correspondence and encouraging Critical South Asian scholarship, especially among young scholars.
