Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, 16-22 November 2020
The Ireland India Institute is delighted to invite you to the 11th edition of Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, 16-22 November 2020. It is not organised by us but we do happily share this type of news. Thanks to Anil Dharker, Founder & Festival Director, for sharing the event with the Ireland India Institute.
This year’s festival is a reflection of the year 2020, a year of more significant social, political, economic and cultural changes than we’ve had in a long time.
Tata Literature Live! 2020 will be a Virtual Festival celebrating Real Books.
While a physical edition has its own charms, the Literature Live! team has put together a digital edition this year without compromising in any way the quality and quantity of global speakers, cerebral sessions and exciting performances.
The festival will feature over 150 speakers from around the world including names such as Roger Penrose, Noam Chomsky, Ian McEwan, Amy Tan, Neil Gaiman, Raghuram Rajan, Tom Friedman, Shobhaa De, Amish, Martin Amis, Naseeruddin Shah, Ramachandra Guha, Sudha Murty, Jeffrey Archer, Shashi Tharoor, Ruskin Bond and Javed Akhtar.
In addition to the Poet Laureate (Javed Akhtar) and Lifetime Achievement Award (Ruskin Bond), we have announced our longlists in the categories of fiction, non-fiction and business books.
Festival Dates: Monday, 16th November to Sunday, 22nd November 2020
The virtual edition of the festival will take place over the course of the entire week.
The Little Festival, an inclusive series of events for young readers, will continue in its 2nd edition
Literature Live! 360@Campus will present a host of sessions for students in their college years.
The sessions will be available to view, without registration, on any of these platforms:
